11. I agree, it's an outtake someone saved.

Must have seen hundreds, if not thousands, of them in my TV years, but no one hardly ever saved them...just rewind the tape and do it again. Too much trouble to go saving it, and if you weren't very careful, it could end up on the air.

10. As a former DJ, I know exactly what he's doing.

And it is hilarious none the less. Here's what went down. His blurb is timed, he has his script down to the last nanosecond. He worked hard on this. He goes on air, and makes a minor error midway through the blurb, and starts beating himself up on the inside. His concentration slips bad, and while trying to catch up to the clock, he fumbles some more words, gets really pissed at himself, and vents, somewhat unintellibly. Happens all the time in radio and television.

If you want some really hilarious outtakes, go dig the tape out of the dumpster behind any radio or TV station. They goof up all the time while taping ads, promos and PSAs, and since they no the tape will be trashed anyhow, they let loose with some really entertaining lines. I've done that myself, and one time the result was so funny, it went on the air as a station promo.

Poor guy, I know exactly where he's at, though it is funny none the less.

They film those promos ahead of time, and he flubbed the take. He was supposed to do his bit and say "...just ahead on Fox News at four." Instead he said "Fox News at ten...fuck you mother...FOUR! SHIT!!!"

Still pretty funny.

My favorite scene of a newscaster going nuts in in the movie "Bruce Almighty" when Jim Carrey uses his powers to make his newscaster rival go berserk on the air. I don't know the name of the actor who plays the newscaster, but he about makes me pee in my pants every time I see it.
