So much for the "Warrior" part of "Protest Warriors." (sorry if this was posted before, I looked and didn't see anything). I don't approve of assualt but you'd think guys who call themselves "warriors" wouldn't be such wussies....

But there were interlopers: Thirteen members of ProtestWarror, supporting the Bush administration and its policies in Iraq. When the Bush supporters arrived, about 20 black-clad, self-described anarchists emerged from the crowd, shouting profanity and epithets and demanding that they leave the peace rally.

When the Bush supporters refused to leave, the anarchists tore the sign out of the Bush supporters' hands and stomped on them. When ProtestWarrior leader Gil Kobrin objected, several male anarchists knocked him to the ground, kicking him in the back and punching him. Other anarchists punched and shoved Kobrin's 12 colleagues.

After D.C. Antiwar Network members broke up the fight, the Bush supporters heeded their order to leave the park. Kobrin then called D.C. police, who are now guarding them at the entrance of the park as they hold up their pro-war signs.

7. I know I'll probably get flamed for this, but I don't care

I don't shed one tear for those little punks. Their tactics are specifically designed to invoke an angry reaction. Well, it looks like they got one, and it serves them right. I've seen these little worms at rallies, and they will actually get in front of anti war demonstrators and try to block out our signs with their own. They get right up in people's faces and do everything they can to piss them off. So hey, someone finally hit back? Good for them.

I would be against anyone attacking a separate demonstration of pro war folks, but what Protest Warrior does is disrupt our demonstrations with confrontational tactics. So fuck them. Were you ever in school and had someone that kept throwing spitballs at you until the point where you finally got angry enough to hit back? That's what Protest Warrior does. And in the classic tradition of a schoolyard bully, they always run crying to the nearest authority figure to protect them.

If their such great warriors, let them go to Iraq. Most of them are able bodied young men.

11. Here's my strategy for dealing with them

I find a sympathetic cop and explain the whole situation to them. Often, they aren't familiar with the group or their tactics. They also have thought they were with us because "protest" is on their signs.

After explaining to them that they just want trouble and are trying to stir up fights and they aren't the ones who hold the permits, I suggest that perhaps it would be better — and easier for the cops — to segregate them and move them to another location. Since they have the logo on all their signs, it certainly is easy to round them up.

Since they can't engage in their in-your-face tactics, they often lose interest and go home. Situation solved with no violence. :-)

I encountered these idiots during the march @ the convention...

Anyway, everytime I saw a counter-protester that day, I would just go up to them and say the most outrageous, blasphemous (if they were obviously fundies) thing I could say just to get them all flustered and upset. I was not trying to start trouble as there was always a barricade between us...

So, I saw the protest warriors, and I went over and asked them why they hated us for our blowjobs...they freaked at this one, including this one albino guy (who looked like he might be the product of a long history of family inbreeding btw) who had been standing motionless staring into space utilizing every one of his 25 brain cells. he heard that comment and suddenly sprang to life, so then I informed him to not worry, once he finally got one he would stop being a republican. Good times...

There were a few trying to start trouble, and they got what they asked for during the Anti War March that day. It was too funny, so many people it was hard to see, but some guy started whaling on them, and the next thing I heard they(Protest "Warriors") were yelling for the cops to come protect them! LOL!
