Media Whores Online - What ever happened to it? |
|
It was a great site which got mentioned on Crossfire frequently and even took to playing with their misspelling by placing a graphic of a horse with a little press hat on (eg. 'media horse online'). The webmaster took a couple of extended hiatuses (sp? hiatusices? hiatoxen?) and then announced that he was folding his tent.
Has he resurfaced anywhere?

Personally I believe the one that says MWO was David Brock, and that MediaMatters.org is what replaced MWO.

Seems like the most probable of all the scenarios.

Loved it. And it really twisted people's tails. Lots of people were going there. Aaron Brown never has recovered from being called a "whore". There are no people more thin-skinned than journalists. (witness the paper-skinned Bill O'Reilly.)

Aaron Brown has been very professional as far as I have seen him.

I don't have a problem with Aaron. But I did email him after Clinton's dog died and Aaron made the "clever" remark that the wrong dog died. He really got hot and bothered when he got a multitude of emails (MediaWhore started the campaign). He wrote me back. I wrote him. He wrote me. I eventually ended the "relationship." He knew he screwed up. He just didn't want to be criticized for it.

"The site that wanted to drive the media to their knees but found them already there."

And I salute their integrity whoever it was because they choose to stop rather than do it half-way.
