Anthrax killer and AA587 in the U.S. spring to mind, as well as the copycats such as the guy who slashed the throat of the bus-driver in the bus hijacking that killed 6 in Tennessee and the kid who sent off mail bombs in the face of a smile across the map of the U.S.

Huge horrible events like Madrid and the two airplanes brought down in a day by the exploding women in Russia

The entire school full of children killed in Russia. The entire theater full of theater-goers killed.

Daily attacks in Iraq of car and truck bombings

Near-monthly attacks in Israel

I can't even keep track of all the terror attacks in India but at one point the attackers actually made it into the halls of their Parliament -- this would be in 2002 if I recall correctly

So I guess if you mean by "there have been no terror attacks" that:
My financial institution hasn't been hit lately by any bombs or airplanes, then OK there have been no terror attacks.

Otherwise let's be real. The lives lost in these other events were just as important to their families. The threat from Muslim extremists and white extremist Christian identity groups is very, very, very real, and people are still dying.
