3. Yeah he's been once or twice though I don't remember any
photos - so maybe I missed. He's supposed to visit Walter Reed on 9-11 according to NY Daily News story I read last week instead of going to NYC. Cheney's going to NYC that day.

4. Soldiers aren't big campaign donors - so not really

I've always been intrigued with the idea of some Demo putting up $2000 so they could "infiltrate" one of those no-press contributor-only Bush Campaign dinners.

5. No huggin' of the widows, though.
As others have pointed out, he has visited injured soldiers for quick photo-ops, but has cowered when it comes to confronting the grieving widows and children of soldiers killed during his two wars.

"There's only one person who hugs the mothers and the widows, the wives and the kids upon the death of their loved one. Others hug but having committed the troops, I've got an additional responsibility to hug and that's me and I know what it's like." George W. Bush - 12/13/2002.
