Disabled Vet insulted by conservative jerk - Liberals come to his rescue!

unless it's been posted before and then I apologize. This is about a disabled vet who the people at Kos are working on buying a computer so he can go to college. He posted on craigs list and some conservative asswhipe gave him a lot of shit about begging. I hope DU checks it out and that we can help out a little bit as well. I think AAR could help a lot too if they knew about it.

The Right has shown that they are above nothing. They attacked Kerry's record, called Max Cleland a coward, and support the troops by sending them to a poorly conceived war with manufactured excuses veiled first in national defense, then in world democracy, with the true motivation being influence and control over mid-east oil.

Support the troops, until they get home, then cut their benefits. Right to life, until the kid is born, then cut assistance programs. The moral values of the American right wing, just a lot of smoke and mirrors.

It kills me that the likes of Ann Coulter, Karl Rove and their ilk feel the need to dump on people who have already suffered and sacrificed and accomplished more than Coulter or Rove will in a lifetime. What a mean spirit is abroad in the land.

I'm glad to hear the guy in question is getting help. This is how it should be.

22. I wrote to Kos to get in touch with Other World Computing

Thanks to them, I've been able to upgrade my six-year old Mac G3 to run their current software, whereas a new computer would have cost about $300 more. They sell old Macs for 100 bucks, and the hardware to soup it up with.

Donations to the vet's Paypal account are at least $1300.
