I like the guy all of a sudden. I mean, I know nothing about him, other than the shutting down the DC office stuff, but he seems like he has a back, a brain, and some balls.

3. I keep babbling about this, but c-span has shown him in Rumsfeld's

face, challenging him on defense issues relentlessy.

Dayton is up for re-election in '06. I wish we could (someone who knows how to!) compile footage of him from various committee meetings or hearings. He is very direct and on point on most everything and doesn't screw around with his responsibility.

4. Except he wouldn't back Boxwer in the contest. He spoke about

the contest to the election being wrong and expressed his distaste of his fellow Senators who supported Boxer in their speeches. He was one thought to be supporting the contest so what he said was a real stab in the back.
