Though he's the absolute king of digressions, they're all fascinating. I wanted to hear more about the soldier who was gradually tattooing her body black, and we never get the end of a couple of his stories. That's why he's a writer and not a performer, and it shouldn't be any other way.

I also liked how he stated what a fraud the use of the word insurgent is. He said it is not an insurgency the US is fighting the very people they invaded. All of them!

The photo... the one about the mother of the female military policewoman's mother who called him about the photos... the part about how her daughter came back totally sick, depressed, strange... how they did indeed make the dogs attack the prisoners. I think this is the photo he's talking about.
