Did the Iraqi arrest warrant on Chalabi ever get served, or handed down?

Remember reading about the intent to issue a warrant on Chalabi for the Jordan bank scam, have been out of town and touch. Any follow up? Thanks, pinto

1. He would be arrested if he returned to Jordan

But I'm not sure what happened to the arrest warrants issued in August 2004. Don't forget that warrants were issued for the arrest of Moqtada al-Sadr - as if that would happen. The Iraqi Defence minister recently threatened to arrest Chalabi. Its confusing...

the Jordanian in absentia conviction. I wonder what gives.

But what about the stupid neo-conservativenazis that tried to defend him when he fell "out of favour" last year? Iyad Allawi, the current PM, is no better as well - just as bad as Chalabi in my books.

There was a stunning inclusion in the list, as well—Ahmad Chalabi and his exile-based Iraqi National Congress party. Chalabi, initially supported by the American government as a potential replacement for Saddam, has fallen into disfavor with the United States after a series of scandals and even allegations that he was working with Iranian intelligence. The State Department had long butted heads with the Pentagon over Chalabi, and INC figures have been accused in Congress of fabricating evidence on weapons of mass destruction to provoke the United States into invading Iraq. Chalabi's fall from grace culminated in a raid by U.S. troops on his homes and offices in Baghdad seven months ago, and Allawi's government briefly brought corruption charges against him. In addition, he has negligible support among non-exile Iraqis. But Chalabi has close ties with Iran, and recently has forged a relationship with both Sistani, an Iranian-born cleric, and with Sadr.

Of course they didn't bother to report what the rest of the world reported; that a huge pile of Shia are boycotting the vote. Funny how they only seem to report what's good for bush and nada that's bad.

Question tho...why is Allawi the Terrorist-CarBomber NOT on the list??? GREAT news...but very suspicious...
