9. I saw this quote in my local paper yesterday

concerning the deficit:

"We must get serious about putting our financial house in order, beginning with short-term deficit reduction and then long-term control of entitlement spending," said Senate Budget Committee Chairman Judd Gregg, R-N.H. "If we do nothing, our kids and grandkids will be overwhelmed by the cost of our inaction."

I think that says it all. They're bound and determined to balance this budget on the backs of the poor. And I don't think our kids and grandkids will be overwhelmed by the cost of inaction...they are going to be overwhelmed BECAUSE OF THEIR ACTIONS.
