Hate is always a sign of weakness...especially when it's directed at a group rather than an individual and based on stereotypes rather than specifics.

Fear is what brought this cabal together and holds them like glue. Fear of losing their privilidge, money and women can be tied to virtually every wingnut issue, and in their selfish, myopic world, if anyone who gets in their way is a threat and must be feared and berated. This isn't an intellectual argument, they know they always lose, so it's purely a campaign of irrational fear they use to create lies and then turn them into "accepted fact".

The worst thing that could happen to the wingnuts is to get what they wish for. Then what would they have to hate or divide with?
