Film Forum Kicks Off 9/11 Citizens InquiryCynthia McKinney headlines documentary films screenings and investigation (Manhattan) Two years after the World Trade Center attacks, a documentary film exhibition and panel featuring former Congresswoman Cynthia McKinney is to seriously challenge the official story and response to 9/11 and examine alternative but credible narratives for what happened and why. This in the wake of former Member of Parliament Michael Meacher's recent explosive comments in The Guardian.
http://politics.guardian.co.uk/iraq/comment/0,12956,1036687,00.html This public inquiry will begin Thursday, September 11th at 6pm at Riverside Church with the international screening of "Aftermath," a film which poses eleven unanswered questions about 9-11, and also being shown simultaneously in over a dozen cities across the U.S. and around the world including Toronto, Vancouver, Eugene, OR, and San Francisco, CA.
The event is sponsored by independent radio station WBAI and the 9-11 CitizensWatch, a watchdog group actively monitoring the government’s official "National Commission on Terrorist Attacks upon the United States" and conducting a parallel investigation of it own.
Among the other headliners: Ray McGovern, a retired CIA analyst, has attracted a nationwide following for his research with Veteran Intelligence Professionals for Sanity. Michael Ruppert, a former Narcotics investigator with the LAPD, publishes "From the Wilderness" subscribed to by 35 members of Congress. John Judge is a co-founder of the 9-11 CitizensWatch. Dr. Faiz Khan is a leader in New York's Muslim community. He also served as a triage doctor at Ground Zero. Danny Schechter is an Emmy award winning producer/director formerly with 20/20 and CNN.
The film screening and panel kicks-off a weekend forum, September 12-14, also sponsored by WBAI, that will examine the dangers and abuses of the a broad post-9/11 agenda being advanced by the Bush Administration. Best-selling author Gregory Palast, author William Rivers Pitt, former Asst. Secretary of Housing under Bush 41 Catherine Austin Fitts, and Emmy award winner Danny Schechter are among many 30 others who will be participating.

"Aftermath: Unanswered Questions," from the Sundance Award-winning
Guerrilla News Network, presents an informal survey of public questions about 9-11.
"Afghan Massacre: Convoy of Death," by an Irish film maker and a former BBC producer, recounts how three thousand Afghan prisoners of war were forced into sealed containers by US Special Forces and later found in a mass grave.
"The Great Deception," from a syndicated series by Canadian media critic Barry Zwicker, divulges evidence about alternative motives for the 9-11 attacks.
