Seems to me that 72 % turnout is a bit ... er... optimistic, and I'm wondering if the * administration has been getting help for this election as well?
Anyone who knows how this election was 'run'? I've seen them use paper ballots on TV, but even then the votes need to be counted, fed into computers and so on.

Remember the last election under Hussein? The turnout was even higher then - and as we all know, SH got 100% of the votes.
To let Allawi, or whatever puppy installed by the *, get that amount may be overplaying it a bit, but hey: anyone to govern Iraq could do with a bit of 'political capital'.
I heard the CNN say that it doesn't matter if the Sunnis doesn't turn out in large numbers, because 'they' will invite them to government posts, administrational tasks et cetera, anyway.
Who the fuck are 'they'?
