SALEM -- Mexican citizens in Oregon and throughout the United States likely will be getting the right to vote in elections back home.

Ore. Commission on Hispanic Affairs

By most estimates more than 10 million Mexican citizens live in the United States. Oregon is home to up to a quarter of a million Hispanics, most of them from Mexico.

Mexican lawmakers are sorting out logistics for accommodating the vote abroad and rapid approval is expected.
