"We are coming to vote"
"We are coming to vote because Sistani told us to."
"We are coming to vote because we couldn't before."
"We are coming to vote because we want the US to leave."

On democracy now, the reasons Robert Fisk is hearing from the Shiites.

Iraqi's are risking thier lives to vote because they believe this vote is going to get rid of the US and they are trusting thier leaders.

If the US doesnt leave, and they find that thier leaders cant get the US to leave, what happens then? Where will this great motivation that drove them to the polls drive them to do next?

In Bush's triumph we see the force of Iraqi will, not Iraqi democracy, an Iraqi will that wants us out.

1. I am curious as to who will win
Will the socialists and communists do as well as expected?
Will we be told (MSM) if they do?

3. Theyve obviously been led to believe the vote will get rid of the US
All we are doing is reinforcing the idea that democracy is a western trick and that islam and militancy is the answer.

4. If they didn't vote, and there was more chaos
we would have had more excuses to stick around and
run the country. Now the Iraqis can tell us to leave.

5. We dont need excuses to stay in Iraq.
Thats the magic of already being there we just need to ignore the reasons to leave.

6. It seems that they also voted...
...because they were led to believe they'd no longer get food if they didn't.
