1. I've been to that hospital

accompanying friends. It's a small jewel of a place architecturally, and sits next to the county hospital. It's run along the order of a VA, which means it's always been underfunded and not fancy, but it's a place tradional folks can go and be seen by their own people (yes, doctors and nurses) who understand where they're coming from.

Stupid probably thinks this place is redundant, since it's in close proximity to a large hospital, and the sickest patients do in fact go to that large hospital. However, it serves an incredibly important function culturally. Traditional healers often work in tandem with allopathic doctors, and the more traditional folks often feel much more comfortable with this approach, so they seek treatment in time.

This is tragic. It will cost lives.

I hate Stupid for his ignorance and his arrogance. I hope Karma acts quickly.
