She has made the argument, that we've also seen here on DU, that most
even pro-choice persons will come to a consensus on the "baby's life"
further and further in to the pregnancy.

I'm gonna run a test, just to verify, but methinks she's looking to this
ground for some broader consensus, so that the partisan divide is less
black and white.

She's still firmly pro-choice. Some people didn't pay attention to what she actually said in her speech. She emphasized the need to reduce abortions through family planning, the morning-after pill, etc. I don't know many people for abortion rights would disagree with that.

In such discussions here on DU, when it gets down to the brass tacks,
people who are pro choice are often willing to deny that choice late
in the term, when there are no driving reasons for termination. The
further you get towards 9 months with a healthy baby, the more
pro-choice people you lose. The terminology itself is divisive,
as it paints the issue as black and white, when in reality it is
ever so grey gray.

By even framing the debate as she has, she's appealing to people who
are centrists on the debate... my point.. nothing more... she's running
for president.
