1. YES! I love it
Could you imagine if we did that here? Bush wouldn't stand a chance.

5. I can't imagine Bush in Prime Minister's Questions.
He'd disintegrate.

14. It was very criticised in the 1990s.
After they brought in cameras. Some of the media criticised it for being too divisive and confrontational, and there was talk of new rules to enforce decorum. But then it was discovered that people liked it the way it was and it actually meant less polarisation in the public, because they felt their political debates were being adequately aired by their elected representatives.

A lesson there for the US, I think.

4. It was a freaking disgrace today.
A chance to discuss Iraq, and the place has hardly anyone in it! Disgraceful. Leaving democratic accountability to Plaid Cymru, ferchrissakes.

10. He is the master of the non-answer, the non-explanation and the
non-apology. Like in the speech in Davos a few days ago when he said "I pay great attention to this country's civil liberties." So, Tony, does that mean you're for them or against them?

But he's not the first political leader to avoid answering questions, and he won't be the last.

After all, he's up against Michael Howard, who was famously asked the same question 14 times by Jeremy Paxman and still didn't answer it.

7. Bush would never have made it past junior MP
he'd be exposed as a fraud. you actually have to be articulate in parliament.

* would not last a second, he's too "challanged". Could you see Joe Biden or Charlie Rangle asking a series of pointed questions?

11. Imagine Answer Time Here...
Always a Sunday night treat...

Imagine Bunnypants facing a Maxine Waters or Bernie Sanders asking questions. I'd love it.

This was how Blair came to fame...be would blow away Majors every week...just lambasting the bastard in those weekly sessions and it helped him win in '97.

The problem is, it's easy to think you're watching a Monty Python skectch if you watch too long...expecting the guy with the chicken to come out and say "move along...now for something completely different..."

Clerk: I'm not prepared to pursue my line of inquiry any longer as I think this is getting too silly!

Sergeant-Major: Quite agree, quite agree, too silly, far too silly...

19. Yeah I watch every week.
I wish we had this type of thing here. I do not agree with Tony Blair's policies but there is no doubt he's a smart guy. Could you imagine Chimpy having to answer complex questions off the top of his head or with a few short notes? It would be high comedy.

21. Did you see the SNL skit?
Will Ferrell kept standing up and saying, "Oasis is the greatest rock band in the world!"

Colin Quinn was a representative from Ireland and he stood up and asked, "I'd like to know what kind of car the prime minister is driving home."

Funny stuff...
