MSNBC just reported the chimp proposed...
the $100,000 death benefit for soldiers killed in Iraq. I thought the Dems did this? Which is correct, and if the Dems did it, why are they letting that monkey take the credit?

1. Is this also Reservists? or Active Duty only?
Talk about blood money. Sign up, and if you don't come home your wife can pay off the mortgage.

2. WP sees the Pentagon behind the move,

click on stories associated with these news articles.

http://slate.msn.com/id/2112972/

> The WP fronts the Pentagon giving in to rising congressional pressure and proposing to significantly increase --from $12,000 to $100,000--the money paid directly to families of servicemembers killed in combat zones. While the WP sees the Pentagon behind the move, the NYT offers credit elsewhere: "BUSH TO SEEK RISE IN BENEFITS FOR SURVIVORS OF THOSE KILLED IN WAR." The papers agree on the facts: The plan was previewed by a Pentagon bureaucrat and will be in the military's proposed budget.

8. Good for him
Now maybe a few more poor families will sacrifice their children to the empire for a little bit of money.

Hell, a good size catholic family could end up with a million dollars.

Then they'll be able to invest that blood money in Wall Street for their private security accounts.

Then they can spend even more money buying cheap crap at Wal-Mart, thus enlarging the Wal-Mart monster.

The possibilites are endless.
