1. More like diappointed!
I know they wanted more than they got to keep the public afraid and politically tractable.

2. He knows perfectly well...

...that he personally did nothing to make us safer so he's amazed that the terrorists didn't take advantage of the window of oppurtunity they had to attack us during his feckless tenure.

12. You hit the nail on the head
We are WIDE OPEN for another terrorist attack.

The reason we've not yet had another one is because the terrorists have chosen not to strike us, not because we've stopped them.

I've come to believe that 9/11 was LIHOP or MIHOP.

14. Did you see the "20/20" piece...
Edited on Tue Feb-01-05 12:15 PM by skypilot
...several weeks ago? They did a segment about Homeland Security officials having a "conference" in Hawaii. The whole thing was just a big expensive junket with people hanging out on the beach and drinking on patios and then calling it "office time". When they did actually get together for official business it was just to give lame ass speeches about how al Qaeda is at the forefront of Islamic terrorism. Duh.

Oh, and, of course, there were all kinds of private firms there wanting to sell crap that would supposedly keep us safe.

15. Yes, I saw it and my cynicism was confirmed
Can you imagine how fun it would be to spend the $9,000,000,000 "lost" Iraqi funds?

9. The Department of LIHOP
So naturally he is a bit disappointed.
What good is LIHOP when none of the real terrorists fall for it?

So Boosh** had to fall back on plan B, stealing the election again.
(2 * now for 2 stolen elections).

8. Or
The fact that * move 150,000 Americans into a country he destabilized. I mean why bother flying over to the USA when you can blow up an American in your own backyard. And will someone tell Tom that those car bombs in Iraq tend to be listed as terrorist attacks in most peoples books. The last time I checked the number of car bombs as increased dramatically!

10. Before the election, every day was an orange day
so they wouldn't get another 9/11 pinned on them for being asleep at the wheel again.

Now that the election's over, WTF.

11. Either the terrorist threat was overblown to begin with...
...or they really are doing a good job of protecting us. Wonder which one it is...

17. Uh, you don't HAVE the job anymore, Tom
Are you surprised because you did your job that well--or because you did it that badly?

Remember those cute little drawings?

and the video that Take Back The Media made with them?
