A guy goes into a bar and sees President Bush and Secretary of State Colin Powell sitting at a table over drinks. The guy walks over to them and asks what they are doing. The president says, “We’re talking over the coming war with Iraq. We’re going to kill several thousand Iraqis and a puppy dog.” “Why are you going to kill the puppy dog?” the guy asks. but i do seem to recall a story about a puppy killed like 24 hours before being scheduled to be shipped to the U.S. Sorry I don't have a link though. I believe the dog was a mascot or something?

I just remember reading here and a link on the soldier's blog that it was a policy decision.

I don't think Rummy used his own hands to strangle the puppy or anything.

7. I know the situation you're referring to, BUT . . .

I have yet to see anything to indicate that Rummy was involved. Everything I've seen said it was the base commander.

Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't put it past the bastard, but I'd rather be honest than just attack the guy.
