Hats Off to Howard Dean
Edited on Tue Feb-01-05 10:45 PM by dave29
Yes, I know it isn't over yet. The voting doesn't happen for 11 days. But it looks pretty much sewn up, and, I'm finding it hard to believe, I may be witnessing a moment for potential unity in the Democratic Party for the first time in ages.

My hat is off to Howard Dean, who has never stopped fighting, and has been an inspiration to those of us who never had the courage to stand up and fight back. We have a voice now. Sometimes you have to scream to have that voice heard.

I have a feeling the best is yet to come from the good Doctor, and I hope those of you who are wary of him will be willing to give him that chance.

5. Me too!
I wouldn't even be here at DU without Dean having run. He got me into political thinking again. Good luck, Doctor!

3. I am not wary of him but wary for him, he will have a hard road to
travel.. Since this is what he evidently wanted I hope his efforts are nothing but successful, but of course the wait is not over yet.

4. The old ways of doing 'bidness' are over. A new wind is coming.
Anything at all will be better than before and with a gutsy smart man like this, we are going places. Bravo.

7. Tweety's Going Spastic...
He had Amy Goodman on tonight and all but dismissed both Dean and the Democrats purely based on "personality".

This scumbag kept asking her "whose your leader"...Goodman attempted ot say that the party needs to focus on core issues first and Tweety all but shut her down and then said "that's why Democrats lose elections".

While this dog & pony DNC show has gone on way too long, I'm starting to like how the wingnuts and their paid whores (like Tweety) have Dean put in a box. He tried to goad George Pataki into bashing Dean as well tonight. Called him "unstable" several times as well. Kettle meet pot.

While I'm a Deaniac, the more these people say he's not right, the more I keep thinking "a negative from a negative..."

9. Tweety would do that to ANY Dem leader
Dems have become the politicially correct whipping boy.

Dean might be the person who could change that.
