The White House Press Corps - WHO Are They? Please List Names Here >
Edited on Wed Feb-02-05 01:55 AM by Stephanie

David Brock wrote to Scott McClellan today asking that the fake journalist Jeff Gannon of "Talon News" be excised from the White House press corps.

http://mediamatters.org/items/200501310004

I find it amazing that the press corps themselves have not covered this story. Surely they've noticed that an amateur with an agenda is sitting amongst them, in the most coveted spot for journalists except for network anchor. WHY are they covering up (by omission) the story that the WH has a special propagandist planting questions not only in the daily briefs but also in the rare Bush press conference?

-------------

What are the NAMES of the reporters included in the White House press corps? Each of them should get a letter asking why they are ignoring the story sitting right under their noses.

I'll start:

Terry Moran of ABC News, why are you silent about this fake journalist in your midst?

Helen Kennedy of the NY Daily News, why haven't you covered this story?

-------------

Is there a listing of all the reporters admitted to the WH press corps, or do we have to gather their names ourselves?

In light of the recent outtings of several "journalists" who were in fact paid propagandists, this Jeff Gannon story is both timely and relevant. Why is no one covering it?

Please post the names of press corps members below, so we can demand they investigate this story. Thanks.

grasswire has given us a link to Dan Froomkin's list - can we write and ask them why they are ignoring this story? I note that "Talon News" is not on the list.

1. Gannon is the official RNC plant.
He seems to be the only one who's not in on the joke. Ever see the reaction when he get's his mandated talking point/question?

He's such a tool and a fool. If he's a journalist, I'm Peter Pan.

7. i'm sure the NYTimes loves being snubbed in favor of "Talon News Service"
and why the heck does that Indian guy get so many questions? Scott McCreep always turns to him when he's in hot water, as he can always be relied upon to change the subject to a question he already knows the answer to.

He has commented on it previously. I've been in touch with Froomkin on this for more than a year.
