Things like what you suggest won't happen until it's made clear that a country is a culture, not a piece of dirt where people do business (as the libertarians believe), or a playground for elitist social engineers to try out their latest hair-brained scheme.

The freeptards forget that homosexuality has always been around, and that many of the most productive members of our society (now and in the past) are/were homosexual. They conveniantly forget all the STDs passed amongst straights, including HIV. They forget that many straights practice (gasp!) anal sex.

The thing is freepers are just modern day puritans who need witches to burn. I think most freepers have lots of problems in their personal lives and are deeply unhappy. Burning a witch or two takes their minds off their own problems for awhile.

The most outlandish bunk they push is that gays are out to convert them and their children. I think most freepers aren't very comfortable with their straight sexuality. I'm straight and I've never been worried that public acceptance of gays might somehow get me 'converted' or sucked into any lifestyle but the one I choose for myself. Freepers are weak minded, pathetic worms.

1. Straight couples do engage in sodomy. Frankly, foreplay w/o something that could considered sodomy is just...boring (freepers, I imagine, go for the old "hole in the sheet" approach).

2. Scared of converting- How tenuous is your heterosexuality if you're afraid you can "become" gay? I find men sexually unattractive, and I can't be persuaded to feel otherwise. Furthermore, the only thing that could covert them is a perception that gay sex is better than straight sex, which also speaks volumes about their heterosexuality.
