The mess that we are currently in indicates
That we need to change directions. The hate that upon hearing the big dogs being picked for the Tsunami effort by the UN, by the right wing indicates that we need to change directions.

1. The mess that we are in
indicates that we've succeeded at this in the past. Why would we throw $300 billion down the rat hole, sacrifice 1,400 assets, callously send over 100,000 to their deaths, unless IT PAYS OFF.

We tend to do what works for us.

And obviously, creating problems around the world has yielded us plenty of $bucks. However, it doesn't mean it will always work in the future.

wink wink got it Washington? State Department?
