Tucker Carlson and Jon Stewart about to become neighbors
-snip-

His view of New Jersey? "When you live here, it's just Jersey," he reminded us. "I'm embracing every aspect of it. 'The Sopranos' is a blueprint for life in New Jersey, as far as I'm concerned."

On his new digs: "I think we're going to live off Exit 13. I'm serious: Take a left at the chemical plant, those are the directions."

Will you get a place in the Hamptons? "Never!"

Now that you're closer to Jon Stewart, will you invite him on your show? Carlson laughed heartily. ("That's my response.")

1. God, what an asshole
As a former New Jerseyite I take exception to the Sopranos and chemical plant jabs. We lived north west Bergen county which is as far from chemical plants as anywhere in the tri-state area.

8. Gotta say
as a Kansan who had never really spent anytime east except to visit the cities I had a bad impression of New Jersey. We were just there last October to visit a friend and I thought the part I saw was just beautiful, nice people and beautiful countryside. I am certain that like any other state there are some parts that are not too nice or even terrible but the entire state has that reputation. I was so pleased to be shown otherwise.

10. personally, I think tucker is ok...
on Nov 1st & 2nd he was probably the only 'pub spinner who conceeded the election to Kerry. His logic was:

"Kerry's supporters are energized and strongly rallying behind him,

his opponent's aren't, so Kerry is going to win."

I honestly haven't been following Tucker since the election so I'll reserve my judgement.

11. Just because he didn't spew shit on THAT occasion, doesn't mean
he's not an asshole. Pick up the GQ issue from before the election where he talks some sense about shrub*, yet still found it necessary to support the prick. So even though he is able to put 2 and 2 together AND get 4, his lying eyes still allowed him to support the mass murderer* of crawford.

15. fair enough, but he is getting paid for...
being the guy from the right at CNN.

If we offered him a job that paid more in journalistic fame & fortune (salary) he might reveal his real opinions, just a guess :)

I can't fault a man for legally making a living.

thnx for your kind response though.

17. You are welcome. As for "I can't fault a man for legally making a living"
That's not the issue. The "fault" lies in his whoring out his ethics which allow him to spin facts to the public and to himself. It may be legal to do so, that doesn't make it right. Paying for "real opinions" is what the bush* madministration does, it's not something the dems should look to adopt.

Cheers,

fob

Honest to God. For about 8 months - on the border of Linden and Elizabeth.
