Craigslist.com is a good guy.....
ran across this interview wiht the founder at one of my geeksites:

http://www.internetnews.com/ec-news/article.php/3465621

lots of tech stuff in it, but here's a juicy bit that slipped out:

Q: Who are the bad guys?

Various spammers -- offshore and U.S. based. Scammers of different varieties -- Eastern Europeans, some Nigerians. We had a problem in October with fraud coming out of the White House.

Q: What type of fraud came out of the White House?

In October, The New York Times broke the story that the White House was encouraging the posting of a lot of stuff they had coming out -- the worst of which was the fake stuff from the swift boat veterans. And we just got deluged with that stuff on discussion boards. When we get nutty or fake stuff on discussion boards, people flag it and I'll have a look and get rid of it.

4. It's a crying shame Kerry hasn't sued those bastards for libel
over that book. Subpoena power would uncover a lot of links with the entire Bush command structure, IMO, as well as find out where their funding for those increasingly slick TV ads was coming from. It would also tie up their resources fighting every subpoena every step of the way, and Kerry wouldn't have to worry about them come his reelection.

Biggest damnfool mistake Kerry's ever made.

6. You think Our boy is gonna run
for president again? or do you mean for the Senate?

And yeah - he should sue, but wouldn't that cost him too? altho he is a lawyer, and a damn good one in his own right.
