1. Thank you for posting this
I was going to this morning and ran out of time. Interesting to note that the tax cuts still outpace this all-important "war on terror."

2. Lovely
Why is the 87 bil labeled "War on Terror" Proposal? Isn't that money just for Iraq? Oh that's right - we're fighting all the terrorists there now.

3. Remember this $87 billion is in addition to the $79 billion already spent.
You need to revise your chart.

6. There is an LA Times story today
That admits the $87B is not enough, and that at least $55b more will be required.
As a poster at Atrios said:
"Jeez... we should just give every Iraqi $10,000 and tell them to forget we were ever here."

8. It was said after the Vietnam Conflict
That we could have bought every single Vietnamese a new home with color TV and saved tons of money. We would have had some friends also instead of enemies.

9. What do you do with an irresponsible teenager?
TAKE AWAY HIS CREDIT CARD!!!!
If * wants $87 billion, he should not be allowed to foist it off on the unborn via an increase in the deficit. He should have to pony up $87,000,000,000 of new revenue to pay for it.

12. One million a minute comes to 525,600,000,000.00
Just about what they have told us about. That is not including the military expenditures for war on terror. You could probably double that amount. A million dollars a minute. Think what our hospitals and schools could do with just a small portion of that. That doesn't include the interest on the deficit either.

13. "Bush Proposed Tax Custs?"
I'm sorry, is Schleprock proposing another tax cut or does this refer to one of his previous two cuts? I had not heard that he was trying for another round of tax cuts. Is he?

the way of the DoDo. As does Bush.

15. 87 Billion is just what he asked for, not counting 79 Billion already
spent, and not counting the extra 55 Billion they admit they still need. *sigh* And that's not counting years down the line.

OMFG

BTW, where is Osama bin Forgotten? Oh, Iraq didn't have anything to do with that...
