6. Well...Kerry wants to keep the troops in Iraq.
I honestly think this is the one reason he fell short in winning the election. Just my opinion.

14. RE; the one reason he fell short
:eyes:

No S**t Sherlock.

I've been screaming for Screamin' Dean since almost the beginning.

Personally I think his wife was The Number One Reason. She is Republican All The Way. Teressa was/is such a lodestone that I asked, THREE TIMES I ASKED, "Should I Worry?" Three times I was mocked. I wish I could say "Who laughing now?"

So in honor of the three times I asked, "Should I Worry?", I hereby say:

I told you so!
I told you so!
I told you so!

23. Dean was railroaded by the DLC and the mainstream media.
This is what did Dean in. With Dean, the Democrats would have won.

27. And That is a Reason
That you aren't in DC.

It is politics.

You have to say that you like person even though you wish that very same person ill.

You have to be able to call somebody with a IQ of wet mud the savior of the country with a straight face.

And if you cannot do that, don't go to DC.

The sooner that (fill in your own curse word) gets replaced the better.

I do believe he is secretly a closet Republican.

15. They Are To!
This is what is called "Politics".

They have to show they have manners.

What will happen when we get a Democrat in the White House in 2008? The Repubs will HAVE to applaud. They won't mean it. They will just have to do it.

Just remember there is "Polite" applause, which is strictly for the cameras, and then there is genuine applause where they mean it.

Do I have to explain what kind of applause is going on tonight?

21. Where I Have to.
I was brought up to have manners.

I really don't have to mean the applause. I just have to do it on nights like tonight.

22. I guess it's the contempt of the Bush Crime Family....
that I wished they would not applaud. All of the lies, the deaths, and the millions hurt because of this man and his twisted policies.

26. The Republicans didn't applaud in 1999....
Democrats who applaud tonight don't have the political instincts to lead our party.
The Republicans sure as hell didn't show Clinton any respect in 1999:

CNN - State of the Union
January 19, 1999

WASHINGTON (AllPolitics, January 19) -- Vowing first to protect Social Security with trillions in expected budget surpluses, President Bill Clinton unveiled on Tuesday a variety of initiatives in his seventh State of the Union address to Congress.
Most members of Congress routinely applauded, but some Republicans shook their heads, frowned or refrained from clapping during Clinton's forceful, smooth and sometimes light-hearted delivery.
Several GOP House members boycotted the speech to show their displeasure with Clinton, who faces removal from office for charges of perjury and obstruction of justice stemming from an affair with former White House intern Monica Lewinsky.

25. Would You Applaud Bush?
That's the state of Democratic Party politics in this nation. A Congressional representative who does not stand and applaud would actually be called courageous! And that would just be a tiny symbolic act and yet most won't even do that!

Who on this discussion board would stand and applaud President Bush in that chamber if you were there? I wouldn't.

Speak up please .....
