I heard somewhere that part of the reason Bush wants to do away with SS is because he's already pilfered it and spent it on Iraq. I'm sure it's not that simple, but is this even remotely true?

"Privatized" no one will find out and he won't have to figure out to pay back the money..
Remember the "lockbox" that Gore mentioned and everyone made fun of..Well Bush broke the lock and emptied it.
