Who else besides me did not watch the SOTU
I instead spent my time doing something productive. I spent the whole day gathering signatures for our Stop Wal-Mart crusade. I feel good today, and I wouldn't have if I had watched that fool.

It was still on when we got back but I just couldn't turn it on. I did listen to Reid and Pelosi though.

3. And a funny thing happened on account of my not watching it:
Edited on Wed Feb-02-05 11:49 PM by GainesT1958
I called a friend of mine in Raleigh @ 9:10 p.m. whose wife--NOT he--is a Repub, and was of course idolizing her hero, the Little Moron, about to be led up to the House dais. She noted "You're calling during the State of the Union?", to which I responded: "Actually, Sharon, I make it a point to avoid watching speeches by people from whom I could never learn anything!":D

Boy, THAT one fixed her! (Of course, she'd probably already heard as much from her hubby, too!):eyes:

Just hope I didn't make her miss Dub's "bold" plan to take away her Social Security!:eyes:

:kick:

B-)

7. I didn't
I can't stand looking at his f__king lying, manipulating scumbag monkey face. I did, however, watch ABC's Dem response. The reactions were interesting, to say the least. What really pissed me off was listening to Fareed Zakaria, and ABC consultant. He said that (in other words) * is doing o.k. 'cause the war/election in Iraq is going o.k. and * is not losing a lot of soldiers!?!? How can he justify 1348 lives, besides those of the Iraqi people * has killed?? This has hit home personally. A former classmate of my daughter will be buried tomorrow - he died in that helicopter crash during the sand storm (or that's what they say). A quick estimate was taken of about 2,000 people at the viewing tonight.

Especially with the whole Iraqi woman fiasco. Especially after I read that thread that told the truth about her. :grr: Why can't he just go away?! He's harming us so much and my future. :grr:

She went to the viewing and will go to the funeral tomorrow while I watch my granddaughter, who doesn't have health insurance and I don't work because it will be less beneficial to everyone in my family as I also watch my grandson so my other daughter can work and go to school on the measly pissant loan she got 'cause the monkey continues to rape the lower and middle class of our money, dignity, freedom and democracy and I'm so sick of his crap and I wish someone would find the account numbers where he's stashed all this money he's stealing from the Iraqi oil...........whew!

Can I ever stop? NO! Sorry for the rant.

So I didn't watch. I don't see how on earth any thinking person could watch the SOTU speech. How on earth could you trust what he's saying?!

Are people's memories so short, that they forget it was during a SOTU speech that he LIED about Iraq trying to acquire yellowcake uranium from African.

You know, it's ocurred to be that Bush is like that boyfriend that just keeps lying to you, and when you confront him on it, he promises not to lie again, yet he keeps doing it!

10. I watched it right up to where Bush said that all options for...
...Social Security are on the table, that no person over 55 will have any change to their Social Security and then he laid out his privatization program as being best. That was as much of the dictator as I could stand and I played Lolita, the original by Stanley Kubrick, staring James Mason, Shelly Winter, Sue Lyon and Peter Sellers.

Channel surfing later, each time there was a sound-byte about it...I abruptly turned it off. Just like I do each time they re-run that commercial of Poppy Bush and Clinton. After all, I DO have a puke- threshhold to consider.

First, i can get online and read it a minute after he's done, and i can get through it 5 times faster than listening to that piece of dirt talk.

Secondly, i think everyone who was paying attention already knew what was in the speech. So, watching it would have been copmletely useless.

Lastly, watching that idiot mug it up and the morons on the right side of the aisle applauding every other word would have made me ill.
