By Iraqis I mean the people who have lived in Iraq their entire lives.

Considering the three of them have all lived outside the country for 3 decades or more, I wonder if they have any credibility within Iraq, or if they are mostly viewed as the brown skinned emissaries of the U.S. agenda.

I doubt the MSM will ever talk about it, so I guess I'll just have to wonder.

2. I'll check the Riverbend blog
to see if she addresses this at all. I feel sorry for the Iraqi people being "governed" by those who fled. Say I was to flee the US because I couldn't stand to live under Bush and 20-30 years later I come back to the US and run for president. How many votes would I get?

3. Not just that
Say your family left the U.S. for China when you were 6, and you lived there for the next 30-40 years.

Then China decided it was time to "liberate" the United States, and you came with them, trumpeting their invasion as an "American returning from exile."

I doubt it would win you many friends.

4. Allawi is known as "Saddam without mustache", that might give a clue
And chalabi is vastly disliked as a US puppet and a crook.

None have credibility with Iraqis, going by the polls.
