So... Let's see here... Bush declares himself Emperor of Earth and
nobody bats an eye? Question for the older members of the board: Have you EVER in your entire life seen anything like what we've witnessed in the last 4 years?

1. In my life I have read much history
so that sorta extends my view a looooong ways back ......

And my answer is a succinct "no".

He has surpassed Hitler, Genghis Khan, Hannibal, Napoleon, Lucifer, Charlie Manson, and Jeffrey Dahmer for pure despicability.

And at least Osama is principled ..... veil, to be sure .... but principled nonetheless. Chimpus Khan is too intellectually deficient to have principles.

He has to conquer the whole world and station troops in every countries to do that. Cant wait to see where he goes. Somehow the peasants come out in massive numbers to show him their love.

"It is hard work, I am bush"

Funny that a president of the US need to use the backdoor of 10 downing str just to get out.

5. Nixon could have been this bad in his second term.
Although Watergate short circuited all of Tricky Dicky's plans.

Also no one thought that Nixon was dumb. Evil yes. Dumb no.

8. After researching Nixon
I agree that he wasn't dumb. Bush is dumb (as said by Edwards' son). Nixon was smart enough to get out of office before getting nailed.

6. No, never.
This guy has serious delusions of granduer. And ruthless enough to maintain this power. Remember, we had Democratic Congresses to keep Reagan/Nixon/Bush1 in check.

Looks what's been accomplished in 4 years having a Republican COngress and a Republican pResident. We really, really need to take back Congress in 2006.

7. Not in my 55 years.
It is way scarier now than when I protested the Viet Nam War. We set out to change the world and we did. The whole world is protesting now and it does not seem to phase bu$h or KKKarl or DICK or cundi.

They are a FREAK show!

I am a grandmother of 5 and I am thinking of moving to CANADA just to have a safe place for my grandchildren to run to.

9. Sometimes I wish
I could move. But I couldn't leave my family behind and I love my country too much to give it up. If I run away they'd surely win!

11. Still just looking and thinking.
I hear calls on Air America and read posts from ex-pats and I wonder! I guess wherever you go there you are. I would still be clenching my teeth over bu$h.

12. No, I have not & I don't like seeing it now....
I never thought I would see a time like this. Maybe it was the foolishness of youth but I really thought we had some forward movement going in the '60 and '70's. I don't believe in the backlash bullshit. That is all manufactured and spread by the echo machine. What amazes me the most is the willful ignorance and the denial. I've never met a drug addict or alcholic who was as good at denial as the american people have become.

But what saddens me the most is the spread of hatred and bigotry. There are so many days when I read the news on the web and want to cry and rage. But I am approaching the point where I just want to leave. When the economy meltsdown & people figure out they have been had, will they rise up against the thieves or will they join the dominion?

14. This is some crazy stuff, huh!
I have tried like hell to talk some sense in to just one of them and I have not made any headway! My elderly parents are not dumb, it is as though they are hypnotized. We even did an intervention on one young man with several of his contemporaries. We got in a circle around him... nothing... no movement. I feel like I have been playing tug of war for 4 years and my hands are bleeding!

I am saving seeds and planning big gardens!

Peace!

13. If 48 years old counts, then
no I haven't. The last time we were attacked on our own soil, aside from teroritories, was in 1812, and even then it was us who declared war.
