maybe I should have pitted "security" against freedom. Freedom is a juggernaught but he likes security an awful lot as well.

"freedom" and "liberty" were hallmarks of Adolf's speeches too. As was stripping citizens of civil liberties for "freedom" and "liberty". As was invading & occupying other nations for "freedom" and "liberty".

To the rest of the world, of course, invasions & occupations and killing and wounding of hundreds of thousands of people doesn't look much like "freedom" or "liberty".
