Wake me up when it's January 2008. The Iowa caucus.
I don't think I want to follow the news for about 3 more years. It's only going to piss me off everytime I log onto DU and read shit like "Bush proposes the gutting of Alaska, some Democrats say OK."

Tom DeLay: "We want the map of Alaska to look like somebody threw a plate of spaghetti against it."

That's all it's going to be for the next few years.

Maybe I should join a book club where they send me 5 books a month, and I feel guilty if I don't read them. Then I won't have time to worry about checking headlines on the internet or other outrages.

Or I could move to Mongolia for a few years. Live in one of those tents with the natives. No CNN at least.

Shit, checking the headlines the next few years will be like watching "Can you top this." Damn damn damn, all this because of some bad ass ballot design in Florida.

Somebody cheer me up.

1. Help us by getting to work!
Do a little bit more than you have been doing.

This is the Repukes' zenith. But they have ruled the land badly and all chickens come home to roost - now the People will feel increasing pain as they have to "sacrifice." In the meantime, we have to contribute, organize, volunteer and plan.

2. Now is not the time to sleep
We all slept from 2000 until 2004 and we paid the price. Ther is much work to be done. If you sleep until 2008 you might as well sleep until 2012 because when you awake you will not be prepared for what lies ahead.
