Who in the BFEE is right now 55? Laura, Neil, Marvin, Jeb? Or did he just pull it outta his butt?

5. The polls indicate that people 55 and over tend to vote more regularly.
So, he probably used the number in the hopes of avoiding a backlash of voters against the Repukes.

So those 54 and younger are screwed. I'm getting my shopping cart ready for when I end up in the streets at 75.

13. What they think people over 55 don't have children,
grandchildren, neices and nephews they care about? Does he think everyone is so selfish and greedy to get the all mighty dollar that they would condemn their children to suffer? Not me. Never.

10. Speaking of shopping carts...
I have yet to find an answer to my question. I've emailed my Senators etc.

I am 46, and disabled. I will be disabled the rest of my life (sans a miracle).

If I make it to retirement age, will I still be disabled, and keep my current paltry SS, or will I suddenly become an elderly person who happens to be disabled? No frickin' way could I live if my check were cut at 65.

It's just something I've never seen answered anywhere. I'm not that worried, as I don't think this fiasco will pass anyway.

12. he's already said that he thinks 55 is "really old"
From his birthday card to "Kenny Boy" Lay in 1997: "55 years old. Wow! That is really old. Thank goodness you have such a young, beautiful wife."
