Its depressing waking up with Amy Goodman in the morning
The question today is it more depressing hearing the truth or watching the spinners lie with a grin on thier faces ?
The truth hurts but atleast it isn't deception.
What angers you most TRUTH OR LIES ?

1. Funny, I used to listen to Amy Goodman every morning.
Now I have to turn her off. It's terrible, but it just depresses me too much.

If I had to choose, her or SOTU, it would be her of course, hands down.

Maybe I'm just too thin-skinned these days.

2. We're all going into "depression overload"...
That's because many of us spend entirely too much time hearing about the myriad of problems we face and not enough time doing something about them. I place myself firmly in this group.

Studies have shown that getting involved in activist campaigns -- no matter how formidable the problem -- result in people actually feeling BETTER about things (even if the reality betrays such hope). Why? Because it makes us feel as if we're part of the SOLUTION rather than just innocent bystanders. We feel as if we are planting the seeds of hope, even if we aren't around to finally harvest them.

I'd rather take the truth. There's no happiness in ignorance -- only false comfort.

4. Lies anger me. But Amy annoys me - I can't help it.
Edited on Thu Feb-03-05 10:16 AM by Richardo
I don't need a daily, non-stop, monotone litany of everything that's wrong - I already know most of it. The question is, what to DO about it.

I prefer a lighter touch - Randi, Janeane or Franken for example.

7. DN is a breath of fresh air. I watch nothing else.
It was depressing and irritating to watch the MSM when I new they were lying!

9. Lies anger me more and I don't like the feeling that distortions are
seeping into my brain.

Hearing the truth is "all about" hope.

Air America Radio. If you don't have a local station you can stream it on your computer. You will get humor and entertainment along with serious discussion of current issues and progressive ideas.

I am so grateful for Air America Radio. The Morning Sedition show with Mark Riley and Mark Marin always makes me laugh in the morning. They communicate liberal and progressive viewpoints with humor and fun.

It makes things easier for me because I am so depressed over what is happening in this my country.
