So, the "Greatest Generation" and the first 4 yrs of the
Baby Boomers will be the only retirees to collect their full SS benefits? The rest of the baby boom generation after being made to fund their SS benefits with larger payroll taxes under Raygun, get the shaft, especially those of us who are the closest to bush**'s magic 55 number. Great, just great! Reduced Medicare and SS benefits. I agree with Howard Dean. I HATE REPUBLICANS AND EVERYTHING THEY STAND FOR.!

3. The answer to that
They grew up under imperial, better than anyone else, america. The last 60 years have been one illegal and abominable thing after another but with the constant reminder, drilled into their heads that we are king shit and can do no wrong.

4. Social security covered retired people from the first day
It was designed as a pay as you go program, and covered all seniors from day one because after the crash of 1929, most seniors were left destitute. It's been covering seniors for 70 years, giving them an income floor and insuring them against being robbed by people like Bush and Lay.

The GOP has despised it from the very beginning. The rich have loathed it from the very beginning, mostly because it's a pittance to them and they can't see why in the world it might be necessary for us.

The GOP has despised the baby boomers since we "lost" Eisenhower's glorious Vietnam adventure. They've been fighting us for our work in getting civil rights legislation through, depriving them of an automatic servant class based on race and an automatic cheap labor class based on sex.

These are the two reasons the filthy scum are attacking social security now. We need to fight this with everything we've got.
