1. I've heard some talk of this.
I haven't seen any documents, though. How would they be able to hide it? I was under the impression that the raiding of the trust fund was paid for with treasury bonds. Is this Enronomics?

3. I saw this article earlier today and just now read it.
Bush can't have his cake and eat it, too. Income taxes must be raised sometime in the next 15 years.

2. That Is Exactly What Has Happened - Bush's Tax Cuts So Devastated
The Treasury that he must PERMANENTLY raid SS to have any hope of paying back what was taken for the war and other misadventures.

4. Is there anyway to find out how much money there
was in SS when shrub came into office, how much was spent on those obtaining SS and what happened to the surplus available?

5.  Someone posted article late this p.m.
asking questions about SS.

The reply (I think) was: there is no trust fund.
Sorry, I don't have the link.

My uderstanding of SS is that there is no money
set aside in any account. Instead, the govt
raids the account to pay for whatever and replaces
the money with IOUs.

6. And that was the plan all along
To so decimate the treasury as to have to cancel all "social programs".
