Franken is soooo funny....
Edited on Thu Feb-03-05 11:36 PM by senseandsensibility
that he (almost) makes up for being middle of the road. He has true comic timing, and he is fun to listen to. He's intelligent and witty. Name one repuke radio "personality" who is intelligent and witty.

He can do impressions, and his Limpballs is a classic. Sometimes humor makes the point better than lecturing or ranting. I think that Al probably influences more people to come over to our side than any other personality on Air America.

Sure I love Randy's passion, but she must be jarring to the unitiated. I rarely smile during her shows. I think Al Franken is a treasure. I'm just saying.:-)

3. What about Ann Coulter?
What about Ann Coulter? Isn't she a treasure.

Just kidding. I think she was dropped as a child.

8. Franken on Coulter in his book, "Lies and the Lying Liars..."
I realize after seeing her lately a few times, that Al was really being nice although he was certainly to the point that she was cracked, he went out of his way to be factual and not as personal as I would have.

I think it would be hard to be in the same room with her and not do something I'd regret later. I don't know what.

I'd say something terrible or start pulling her hair out and stuffing it in her mouth or something to make the horrible noise stop. (Just kidding) I'm a peace loving person, but my imagination is a bit over the top.

9. LOL on her head
sometimes I wonder if she's really a closet liberal because she never seems to truly grasp the message machine on the right.

5. "Randy" on the inside, but "Clinton" on the outside
You know what I mean. He comes across as a caring man, not an angry man. I know what you mean.

10. You are right
He can even get angry with people he interviews, and he obviously dislikes O'Reilly, but he always seems likable.
