Who ARE these people who keep
telling us that the recent employment figures didn't meet their projections, lower than they thought, and are disappointing. You would think that they should have realized what false optimism looks like by now.

3. Everybody is only as good as their information is.
Even if they don't trust the Bush administration's numbers, they need to use *somebody's* numbers in order to do their jobs. Garbage in, garbage out. But if your job is to make some kind of projection, all you can do is try your best with whatever info you get.


It's not like predicting the future is easy or anything. ;)

out from looking for work, and that keeps the unemployment rate lower than it 'probably' should be...BTW, just to keep up with population growth of about 2% annually (290 million pop) we need around 150k per month job growth.
