Iraq will Soon be an Iranian Ally
Edited on Fri Feb-04-05 08:14 PM by louis c
The vote totals are pouring in, and the pro-American Prime Minister, Iyad Allawi is being trounced.

The overwhelming majority of votes will go to the Sistani backed party allied with the Shiite Clerics.

Sharef Ali called the election a 'Sistani Tsunami'. (Clever)

>>clip>> "I think the Americans are in for a shock", he said they will one day realize, "'we have 150,000 troops here protecting a country that's extremely friendly to Iran and training their troops'."

>>clip>> Kadami said leaders of Da'wa and its main rival party, the Supreme Council for the Islamic Revolution in Iraq, were forming a committee to impose discipline on the diverse membership.

I've said from day one, this is the dumbest foreign policy America has ever embarked on, including Viet-Nam, because the consequences are far more dire. We are witnessing the greatest American strategic disaster in our history. Why would we fight to have people who hate us vote?

anyway, read it for yourselves, and watch it unfold.

2. This isn't good--we'll have to see.
It depends on how we can play it with the new leaders I suppose--a certain finesse could probably alleviate the problems.

Of course the Bush administration has all the finesse of a drunken steamroller, so I guess i'mn not hopeful.
