There is new evidence of a conspiracy brewing years before the California energy crisis, 10News reported.

Audio tapes were made public that reportedly show how Enron executives were fraudulently driving up prices for electricity.

The audio tapes weren't crystal clear, but the message was unmistakable.

In the tapes, an Enron dealer can be heard advising a Washington state power plant operator to make unscheduled shut downs to create artificial supply shortages, thus driving prices and profits through the roof.
