Why do some Indian dream catchers have completely
webbed centers, while some have completely solid centers made of canvas or leather? And why do some have a mix of both, with a solid piece held in the center with webbing that goes around the circumference?

Is there any difference in meaning in Indian folklore between the different designs?

4. The sites explain the story behind the webbed dream catchers,
but they don't mention anything about the solid ones. I've done some searching myself, and I've found some sites that refer to the solid ones as dream shields, like the following:

Is it that there's just no difference between them? Are the solid ones just easier and cheaper to make?

3. Different tribes do, indeed,
have different folklore and designs. I have a whole collection of dreamcatchers, and there's a lot of differences among them.
