In my opinion.... they all are diversion tactics from this administration. Repugs don't want to solve any of these issues ..why... because the masses will argue amongst themselves endlessly and not look at the real problems... health-care, economy or the war.

Because the unholy Right has latched themselves on to two issues... Gay Marriage and Abortion....and they perceive that its the Democrats that are wrong... it gives the repugs a large support base regardless of all the mistakes that chimp makes. Then throw in the SS issue and you have chaos.... which is just what they want....classic Machiavellian strategy.

1. to cover other stuff, like more infringements of rights and jailing of decenters
2. Make Democrats look like whiners and patsies
3. Make Democrats look like they don't want to tackle (and here is their "new" talking point phrase)"HARD ISSUES" BECAUSE IT'S HARD WORK

It's amazing how these xenophobics latch on to an Italians theories of control and manipulation.

2. Yup - carrot and stick. Whenever I ask a RW friend why...
...Bush** hasn't done anything in four years about (hot-button RW wedge issue of choice) - and with a friendly Congress, too - they don't know what to say. I hope I'm inspiring a few mini-epiphanies.

3. I've said that all along
That's what these bastards are all about.
Hey, look at the left hand, nothing up my sleeve!

While the right hand is directing traffic, as the trucks roll out of the treasury filled with cash.

I'm glad these are GODLY and MORAL people or we would all be in BIG trouble.

Right?

4. Only the two parties benefit
when we fall for the 'deep political divide' they keep pointing out.
