SSQ...when will it become insolvent in Bush's* program?
Under the current system, Social Security will begin to use the trust fund in about 2018. It will break even in about 2042. It will bust in 2051.

My question is: If Bush* changes the system to allow privatization of some funds, won't the numbers move closer to our present date?

If Democrats focus on the change in the dates, they can make it clear to the public that the Bush* program will spoil the program.
