Meme: Why do republicans and conservatives hate working Americans!
For years conservatives have accused liberals of hating America. It is time to turn the tables.

We need to constantly ask the conservative media personalities and republicans "why do you hate working Americans?" defined as anyone who has to work for a living (meaning most of us).

With their corporate bias, taxing work instead of estates and investments, dismantling social security, it is a very credible case to make.

1. They have to pay them to do work that they should
do for free, or at least for a lot less than they are being paid now.... </sarcasm>

2. Why do republicans and conservatives hate
women
children
poor people
gays
blacks
hispanics
liberals
disabled
elderly
low wage workers
middle class democrats

They hate everyone except for rich white males.

The question is "Why are these people so greedy and full of hate?"

7. Their parents made them that way.
There are those that never learned from things like The Enlightenment, the French Revolution, etc.
They still believe in aristocracy, and can't stand the fact that they are really no better than "the great unwashed".

4. It's a hate/love thing.
They hate us because they want to do their will without working people questioning their ways. They love us because WE are where their fortunes come from.

In reality, capitalism is one of the things that make this country great. Without it, we working people would not have work! What the conservatives are incapable of grasping, however, is the concept that
capitalism that operates RESPONSIBLY is good for all.

5. The vast majority of them ARE working Americans.
They just don't want to admit it.

As long as they think and act like rich people, they think they can escape their plight.

You know who I mean...the people with middle-class income and lower, who have maxed out their credit on shitty outer-suburban housing and an SUV.

These people are so deluded as to their place in society and their government's relationship with them that they truly deserve what they get.

Their lack of critical thinking skills are evident every time they pay their credit card bill and every time the pull a lever for a candidate that is working to keep them perpetually indebted.

They nod their head in hatred with the rantings of the right-wing pundits and radio hosts, all an elaborate diversion to keep their eye trained on people like us, who are usually exercising our freedom rather than thinking of new and inventive ways to rationalize forfeiting freedoms to their pavlovian masters.

A rich Republican is simply selfish. That's explainable.

It's the middle-class and poor Republicans that need help. They are demonstrably stupid.

14. You've discovered their underlying motivation: Greed
As long as they think and act like rich people, they think they can escape their plight.

This is exactly the problem. They think that they are the next in line to become wealthy, that if we increase taxes on the wealthy they will end up suffering. Because they are a part of the "American Dream" and they watch "The Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous", get their Neiman-Marcus Xmas catalog and have a gold card they are on their way. And the Republicans have plenty of friends and supporters in the Prosperity Gospel movement.

8. They think every working person represents
dollars escaping their grasping hands. They don't acknowledge that every dime a business makes is created by the people who work there.

Right wingers just plain hate people. It's why they hate the Bill of Rights, it's why they loathe unions, it's why they're working to destroy Social Security.

10. True story.
A friend of mine was working at a rich, exclusive resort ($15,000 a week.) He is a very talented finish carpenter making good money for a local contractor.

He was finishing a house, when the painters complained of no water. He called the plumbers, went outside to look for the break.

He found it, was digging it up when this "rich, fat, florid wanker" (my friend's words) came by with his son, stopped in his presence and said to his son, "See without an education, that's how you'll end up, in a ditch." Then he moved on.

The flip side of this is that workers begin to cultivate the same attitude as the ownership class. Gouge 'em. And there is where you experience the first break down of moral values.

11. Oh you bet!
Someone treats me like a peon and the price for my services skyrockets! I especially love it when they whine when they get the bill.

Also explains why you should always be polite to people serving you food.

15. We Should Take It Even One Step Further. Question Their Patriotism
The weakening of America due to the GOP’s policy of corporate globalism resulting in the exporting of American jobs to low wage countries. If this GOP policy continues unabated, eventually America will not have an adequate manufacturing base to produce the goods required to maintain our way of life. America will then be dependant upon, and therefore under the sphere of control, of the producing nations.

The weakening of America due to the GOP’s policy of massive trade and Government deficits, with the resultant purchase of debt by trade rivals, such as the Communist Chinese. This transfer of wealth has provided these nations the ability to wage economic warfare on America.

The weakening of America due to the GOP’s policy of maintaining access to foreign sources of fossil fuel in lieu of emphasizing the development of domestic, renewable energy sources. This policy of maintaining America’s addiction to foreign energy sources has resulted in America becoming the developed world’s policeman in protecting access to the remaining petroleum reserves, draining off the wealth of America while providing an economic windfall for trading partners and rivals alike.

And, most importantly, the weakening of America due to the GOP’s policy of creation and maintenance of a small gilded, ownership class controlling most of the wealth of America. Once the GOP policies have weakened America sufficiently, this ‘ownership’ class, with their capital, will flee to other shores, leaving the working people of America a looted nation.

What is the more unpatriotic?. The actions of the GOP strawmen who supposedly undermine America by questioning the actions of it’s political leaders, or the GOP’s policy of undermining America’s economic base? We say the first action , as Teddy Roosevelt noted, is the duty of all patriotic Americans, while the latter is the action of looters with no attachment to their country.

We believe in an America that is a good neighbor and trading partner. An America that is involved in a free and fair global market system. Fair not only for the ownership classes, but also for the working people of our trade partners, and most importantly, the working people of America.
