SAN FRANCISCO (Reuters) - At a time of growing questions about Arnold Schwarzenegger (news)'s early years in the United States, his first girlfriend is seeking to publish a memoir on their relationship, her agent said on Monday.

Barbara Outland Baker, today an English professor at a California community college, met the then Mr. Universe in 1969 and became his first real girlfriend until they split up in 1974. Her book is titled "Surviving Arnold."

"I'm trying to sell it as an insider's account of Mr. Schwarzenegger's early years," said book agent Paul Levine. "She's been writing it for years, but obviously now is an opportune time to try to sell it."

"There are lots of insights and never-before-told things about Arnold and there are over 100 never-before published photographs of Arnold during that time."

IF it were simply a matter of consesual sex between adults, then yes: ... PERSONAL information that has no bearing ....

But Arnold is a Republican, whose party does NOT appreciate 'moral relativism' .... the question is not what WE think, but whether his base will expose their own hypocrisy regarding 'personal sexual proclivities' ....

Furthermore: .. there is some evidence that Arnold actually 'sexed up' a 16 year old girl: ..... this cannot be consensual if it occurred in CA, because minors cannot give consent here ....

That would be statutory rape, .... a subject area certainly available to us in rhetorical attacks against the Arnold campaign ....

a shakedown of the Republican party and/or Ah-nuld?

Not that there's anything wrong with that, mind you.

But the election is next month. What are the chances that the book can be written AND in the marketplace before that? Since it looks like Ah-nuld probably will be going down (no pun intended), there will be virtually no market for the book.

Ms. Outland Baker is hoping to capitalize on her former status as Ah-nuld's "first" (yeah, we believe THAT one!) girlfriend by shaking down the Rethug party and her former flame...in the true spirit of American capitalism! How's THAT for entrepreneurship?!

18. The real value

of a book like this is to point out that the Repub and VRWC attack on Clinton was political and not "moral highground". They are hypocrites and embracing someone who is at least as morally questionable as Clinton was, points this out.

Use it to destroy the Repub/fundie base.
