DU's HOME page features a discussion about the NY Times ducking coverage of *'s prompting system (bulge seen at debates). So I brought over from another forum a photo of him in a tee shirt from the WH website that had not received much notice.

Just a few minutes ago in LBN another post started. Someone suggested that RFID devices be implanted at birth.

I heard of this while watching the 700 Club (I watch everything); it will be featured within the next 24 hours. Regular watchers, please keep an eye open and alert when it will be broadcast. Pat Robertson said "sounds like shades of big brother and revelations".

I first heard about this in October in relation to tracking bulk drug lots from manufacturer to wholesaler to pharmacy, but this is the first I've read about the subcutanious implantability.

1. Okay, so where will this be used I suppose wherever absolute...

...positive IDs are required. I mean how does that apply to the average citizen? We need to ID every person in America to track our citizens? Nobody gives a rat's ass about America's citizens now, unless of course you are a criminal or a VIP.

But, suppose this is done for good purposes. Well when a male child is born in America, the routine procedure is a circumcision and a chip implant. Females receive just the chip. Then for the rest of our natural lives we are tracked every step of the way whenever and wherever identification is critical. As we grow in importance the tracking is more frequent and applicable to more areas. If we become a threat, then tracking is used to locate and incarcerate us. If we no longer contribute in any way to society (the state), then the chip is used to locate and exterminate us.:crazy: :wtf:

Since the "Mad Cow" scare, the Agriculture Department is assuring us that it tracks cattle from birth to slaughter even if they are foreign i.e. from Canada. Therefor the only thing we need to do is issue a cow to every foreigner entering the country. The State Dept. and FBI will then have no excuse for statements like "We lost them", or "They went off the radar"

Brazil’s most powerful businessmen mostly from Sao Paulo, have began using subcutaneous microchips which can be easily tracked if they are kidnapped, and have also ordered bullet protection vests for their under 12 children. The news became public this week following the admittance by Sao Paulo City authorities that 112 people had been kidnapped in 2004 compared to only ten in Rio do Janeiro.
Brazil’s business elite are terrorized with the undeterred wave of kidnapping according to Ricardo Chileli from RCI First Security, the first Brazilian company to import the subcutaneous chips from United States.

Forty businessmen already carry the microchips so in case of kidnapping the police can track where they are being retained, said Mr. Chileli. “My clients are persons who in spite of tight private security and armoured vehicles fear kidnaps”, indicated Mr. Chileli who revealed he has a waiting list of 2,000 businessmen and prominent figures. Besides microchips the anti kidnap programs include cellular phones with GPS, cars with tracking devices and other chips in shoes and belts.

However Sao Paulo City Security Officer Saulo de Castaro Abreu Filho was not so enthusiastic about the booming business and commented that sophisticated equipment “does not contribute to solve the situation and the greater efficiency is based in the safety presumption the user starts to feel with them”.

The greatest disparity between the rich and poor exists in São Paulo - it is THE model studied by sociologists and anthropologists. Fortified enclaves with machine gun wielding guards are the norm there, though the USA has been trying very hard to catch up.
