4. LMAO!!! Godless liberals use Science to confuse people!!! HAHAHA
freeper quote: "'Science', then, is what liberal democrats use to spread godlessness, and to confuse ordinary citizens, who can't afford a private education, and so thereby prevent them from voting Republican"

Faith based vs. Fact and Reason

WHAT CONFUSES PEOPLE? FACT OR PSEUDO FACT BASED ON BIBLE QUOTES?

14. To them, it's all about religion.
The belief in God must be protected at all costs, because they know perfectly well that without it, their lives become utterly meaningless, unlivable, and punctuated by death. It all essentially boils down to egotism. The core desire is to cheat death and survive eternally. Belief in God allows that for the illusion of such survival, and therefore must be maintained at ALL costs. Without religious belief, there's just Nature and death, and they haven't the strength to face that. This is why we hear the common refrain: "well, you got to believe in something!"

They are being totally honest in that statement. They have to believe in something, because facing reality honestly just isn't an option. They use "faith" as a vehicle for intellectual cowardice and weakness. In the final analysis, they just don't wanna die. There HAS to be a God, and if that means that evolution is wrong, it's wrong. The facts don't matter. It IS wrong, because it HAS to be wrong.

10. They've got their facts wrong anyway...
You won't find theologians attaching a human skull to the jaw of a baboon, (or was it the other way around?)

The Piltdown hoax were a human skull and an orangutan jaw...not to nit pick...well, yeah it is to nit pick. But I hate seeing those doofs going off like they're smart.

13. Funny how their so averse to science...do they realize all that
scientists have done: antibiotics, medicines, plastics, fuel, cars, food, genetics studies, astronomy, chemicals, pesticides...all stuff that affects them on a day to day basis. Why don't they attack the whack job scientists who came up with these things if their so averse to science and thinking?

15. There must be some DUers lurking there
The main difference between theologians and scientists is that scientists change their theories when new facts become available. Theologians have their minds made up and don't want to confused by the facts.
The Bible has been around way longer than Darwin.
Smallpox was around way longer than Pasteur, but the Germ Theory of Disease has displaced previous explanations for microbe-caused disease.
The Bible has been around way longer than Darwin.
Evolution has been around way longer than the Bible.
